The Our Lady of Hope Religious Education offers weekly classes for grades Kindergarten through grade eight. Students may attend class on Tuesday evenings from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. for grades kdg. through grade 6, and from 6:00 p.m. to 7:15 p.m. for grades 7 and 8.  We also offer an online program for those who are not be able to meet on Tuesday evening because of extinguishing conflicts or conflicts with extracurricular activities.  (Soccer, football, dance etc., you may choose online classes and join us person to person when the season is over.) Please contact our office for further details and enrollment information.

Children’s Liturgy of the Word is offered during the 10:30 a.m. Mass throughout the school year. Children up to third grade are invited to participate.

The RCIA (Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults) program extends a warm welcome to those who are interested in learning more about the Catholic faith and/or possibly becoming a member of the Church through the sacraments of Baptism, Confirmation, and Eucharist. The RCIA program runs from October through May, with the reception of the sacraments of initiation at the Easter Vigil.

Parents of students who need to be prepared for sacraments outside of the regularly scheduled grades (Reconciliation-first grade, Eucharist-second grade, and Confirmation-eighth grade) should contact the director for an individual appointment.

Information about sacramental preparation will be shared during class sessions and parent meetings.

We are grateful for the opportunity to “catechize” (“echo down” the faith) to our parish’s children. Ultimately, it is the parent who is the primary teacher and must support the work we do through participating with their children in weekend Mass, the sacrament of Reconciliation, daily prayer, and other devotional practices.

Please contact our office if you have any questions at any time.
